This netaudiobook.com web site has been established in order to promote the increasingly popular use of audio books downloads as a means of accessing spoken word audio content. We are not associated with one particular publisher and so can provide a fully independent and impartial service with regards to content, reviews and marketing. Our aim in the creation of the site was to provide an informative and simple to use system for fans of spoken word content and to allow for easy downloading of a range of titles in a rich variety of categories. What format do I receive the audio in?
The audio books are provided in two formats for download; MP3 and WMA . These formats will play on both PCs and Macs and will work on the majority of portable players. It is the publisher that selects the format for distribution of the audio book files. When you complete the purchase of a downloadable audio book title you will be transferred to a special page on the site where you can make your selection from the variety of available file formats. For those customers with a high speed connection it is probably preferable to download the file with the highest quality available. For users with a slow Internet connection you have the option of choosing to download a smaller file size. This will not be of the same highest quality, but we can assure you that the audio book will still be very listenable.
Can I use these files on an iPod?
Yes you can use the audio books for ipod! All you have to do is burn the audio files to CD first. We always recommend this so that you have a physical backup copy of your purchases in the unfortunate event that your computer crashes or is stolen. It is then a case of ripping the backup CD directly to iTunes before transferring the audio book to your iPod in the usual way.
Can I copy the files onto audio CDs and listen on my hi-fi or in-car system?
Yes! You can make copies of the audio book files on to an audio CD on your computer. This is very easy to do and is quick, especially if you are using Windows. To view a brief demonstration of how to do this Click Here.
How easy is it to download the files once I have purchased them?
It is very simple. Once you have completed the purchase of your audio books you will be taken to the special download page where you will be able to download the files you have bought. We provide easy to follow instructions on the file download page. If you do come across any problems, which is unlikely, you can always contact us via our Support Centre. We will be pleased to assist to get you up and running, however it is unlikely that you will have a problem.
Do I need any special software to play these audio files?
No special software required. All of the audio book files that can be downloaded from this site will work on a standard PC.
Do you offer a guarantee?

Am I breaking the law by downloading these audio files?
Definitely not! ALL of the content and titles provided on this site have been approved by both the copyright holders and the publishers. All paying customers are entitled to download and listen to these audio book files as many times as you wish and can play the audio files on any form of equipment. However you need to be aware that, as with other types of media, it is illegal to produce copies of the audio book files and transfer them to other people.
How long will it take to download the audio files?
The audio book download time varies greatly and is dependent on the type of Internet connection you use. For broadband customers the download time will take just a few minutes per section. For those with a 56k dial-up connection download times will be considerably slower. To help with download times, the longer recordings of several hours have been split it into several sections for easier downloading. This means that even if you have a slow connection you can begin to listen to the first section of the audio book whilst the other sections are being downloaded.
Can I listen to a sample of the audio before I decide to make a purchase?
Yes - a great feature of the site is that you can listen to samples of the audio books before making your purchase! For all of the audio books downloads on this site we have included a five minute sample that you can listen to as many times as you wish before buying. Please be aware that the recording you hear on this site will be of a lesser quality than the audio you will download once you have completed your purchase. The sample files have to be compressed by a good amount to enable easy streaming on all of the varying internet connection speeds.
